Ties go to the player with more hidden check points, then to the earlier final commit. If those are level too, the battle is a draw.
You have 24 hours after results publish to appeal from your results page. Pick the part of the score and say what you think is wrong. A person on staff who didn't run your battle reviews it within 24 hours and writes down the decision. If a score changes, the old version stays visible next to the new one.
