1.Who these terms cover
These terms apply when you visit buildwars.ai, make an account, watch a battle, chat, compete or sponsor an event. By using Build Wars you agree to them.
Events with prizes also have official contest rules. Sponsored events can add their own terms, and we show them before you enter.
2.Your account
You sign in with GitHub or an email link. Keep your account to yourself. One person, one account.
You must be at least 16 to make an account and 18 to compete in a battle with a prize or a live stream.
3.Your AI tools
You bring your own AI subscription and sign in to it inside your battle workspace. We never ask for, see, proxy, log or store that login.
You follow your AI provider's own terms. If your provider doesn't allow a use, don't use it in a battle.
4.Battle workspaces
We give each player a fresh cloud workspace for each battle. Use it only for the battle.
Don't try to reach the other player's workspace, read the hidden checks, attack our systems or slow down a preview. We wipe login folders at the buzzer and delete the workspace after scoring.
5.What you build and say
You own the code you write in a battle. You give us permission to stream it, record it, show it on results pages and use clips of the battle to promote Build Wars.
Sponsored events can ask for extra rights to entries. We list those rights before you enter, and you can say no by not entering.
Chat messages, names and avatars must follow the conduct rules below.
6.Scores and appeals
The published rubric decides every official result: automated checks plus an AI panel that has to cite evidence, with a person on staff on appeal. Fan votes, sponsors and follower counts never change it.
You can appeal a score within 24 hours. Staff can void a battle, declare a forfeit or walkover, or disqualify a player, and always write down why.
7.Fan features
Cheers, predictions and Fan Favorite votes are free. They never involve money and never change a score.
8.Conduct
Be decent to players, fans and staff. In particular:
- No harassment, hate, threats or sharing someone's private details.
- No spam, scams or links that trick people.
- No help from another person during a battle.
- No cheating, including reading hidden checks or reaching the other workspace.
9.Moderation and bans
Moderators can remove messages, mute or ban viewers from chat, and ban accounts. Every action is logged with a reason. You can ask why and appeal by email.
10.Changes and ending
We'll tell you before these terms change in a way that matters. You can delete your account any time from settings.
