1.What we never collect
We never collect, see, proxy, log or store your AI tool login. You sign in inside your own workspace, the stream hides that step, and we wipe login folders at the buzzer.
We never see your card details. Payouts and sponsor payments go through our payment provider.
Glitch, the host, only speaks from verified platform events. We never send your code, your prompts or your login screen to the commentary model.
2.What we collect
To run Build Wars we keep:
- Your account: name, handle, email, avatar and your GitHub profile.
- Your battles: the code you commit, your preview, the recording of your screen, and your mic and camera if you turn them on, and your scores with their evidence.
- What you do as a fan: follows, reminders, cheers, predictions, Fan Favorite votes and chat messages.
- Linked channels: your YouTube or Twitch channel id, with read-only access.
- For prizes: the result of an ID and tax check from our payment provider, never the documents.
- Basic logs: device, browser and IP address, to keep the service secure.
3.Recording and streaming
Before each live battle your invite asks you to tick separate boxes for recording and for streaming. You can see what you agreed to in privacy settings.
Withdrawing consent means you can't join live battles. Practice still works and stays private.
4.How long we keep it
- Battle workspaces: deleted after scoring. Login folders are wiped at the buzzer and left out of backups.
- Replays: 30 days. Then only the scorecard and evidence stay.
- Chat messages and the moderation log: 90 days.
- Your account: until you delete it. Public results from ranked battles and Battle Nights stay under “Deleted player” so other players' results still add up.
6.Your choices
Change what's public, turn intros off and manage notifications in settings. Download or delete your data from settings, or email privacy@buildwars.ai.
